Meet Abby Fries, a tax intern in our Overland Park office

Abby Fries joined Adams Brown’s Overland Park office as a summer tax intern before completing her senior year at the University of Kansas, where she is majoring in accounting.

What first stood out to Abby about Adams Brown was how comfortable the interview process felt. The conversations were natural and easygoing, giving her an early sense of the people and culture at Adams Brown. She was also drawn to the firm’s industry-focused approach and the opportunity to work alongside a group of fellow interns.

During her internship, Abby wanted to learn more than tax rules and software. She also wanted to hear how accounting professionals chose their career paths, develop good working habits and get a clearer picture of what her own future in accounting could look like.

Outside the office, Abby loves to travel—whether that means taking a road trip or visiting another country. Italy tops her list of favorite destinations.
