How I Help…

I decided to get into accounting because I always loved numbers. I had a great accounting teacher in high school, and it just made sense. I went to college and had the best professor and knew I had made the right decision for a career.

What I like most about working with my clients is that every day is different. I am always working on tackling different problems and coming up with creative solutions.

My superpower is my ability to relate to other humans. I am a people person. If you threw me in a room with a bunch of strangers, I would be able to strike up a conversation with every one of them. In our industry, we are often seen as quiet and boring accountants, so I like to buck that trend and engage with people as much as possible.

I work with construction and real estate clients. I strive to be the first person they call when they need help. Whether that be advisory services, tax compliance, assistance with bonding needs or just an ear to listen in tough times, I want to always be there for my clients.

"When I am not working, you will find me spending quality time with my family or at a sporting event of some sort. My family is season ticket holders to K-State football and we bleed purple. I also enjoy collecting baseball cards and going to country concerts with my wife."

Q&A with Zach

What does above+beyond mean to you?
It means always taking the extra time out for your clients and being an extension of their business. It means answering that phone call or email on a weekend or late at night to put my client at ease during their tough times.
What does being a strategic ally mean to you?
Helping our clients with any and every problem they may have. If I can't solve the problem, I want to be able to point them in the direction of someone else who can.
What is your favorite/least favorite word and why?
Favorite word - go. I always want to be moving and on the go. Least favorite word - can't. I never want to say we can't do something.
What makes you unique?
I am the life of the party - definitely not your typical accountant.
What do you enjoy most about your work at Adams Brown?
The diversity of clients I work with and that every single day is a different day of new challenges.
