Firm Adds Shannon Shaw & Holly Rook to Holistically Serve Clients

America is facing the largest wealth transfer in history, with a staggering $84.4 trillion to be transferred in the next 20 years, according to market research from Cerulli. This increasing client demand prompted Adams Brown to expand its business valuation and litigation support offerings.

The addition of Shannon Shaw and Holly Rook enables Adams Brown to provide a broad range of services to assist business owners and their legal counsel in determining a company’s overall worth. The decision to expand this service offering reflects a strong commitment to holistically serving businesses and owners throughout their entire lifecycle.

Shaw joined the firm as a partner and leader of the business valuation and litigation support practice. He has more than 30 years of experience working with attorneys, individuals and businesses in construction, agriculture, healthcare and manufacturing. He previously owned Shaw Business Valuation and Litigation Support in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, until July 2023, when Adams Brown purchased the firm’s assets.

With 20 years of experience in financial and valuation services, Rook oversees the Adams Brown business valuation practice. As a former manager at a large national CPA firm, Rook has managed countless valuations and provided strong leadership throughout her career. She is based in Overland Park, Kansas.

With the uptick in demand for business valuation and litigation support, Adams Brown is responding to a broader national trend. Factors such as baby boomers selling businesses, a rise in mergers and acquisitions and the evolving regulatory landscape have contributed to this increase.
