Charlie Martin’s journey begins in the rural outskirts of Wichita, in a small town called Andale, where he grew up on a family farm. As one of eight children, Charlie quickly learned the value of hard work, a lesson that has guided him throughout his life. Despite his deep roots in farming, advice from his eldest brother set him on a different path, suggesting that his future lay beyond the fields. This advice proved prophetic, leading Charlie to pursue a career that would eventually see him become a respected strategic business consultant at Adams Brown and the Mayor of Andale.

Charlie’s mayoral election story is one for the books—a write-in candidate who clinched a landslide victory against a six-year incumbent. This position has allowed him to form deeper connections with his community and emphasized the importance of effective leadership.

“Serving as Mayor is about giving back to the place that shaped me,” Charlie shares.

Life Beyond the Office

Charlie’s personal life is as rich and fulfilling as his professional one. Married for over 38 years, he and his wife have nurtured a family of four children, now expanded by five delightful grandchildren. He is also deeply involved in volunteering, golfing and boating.
