How I help . . .

I’ve always been a numbers girl. My mother put me to work in our family business inputting handwritten parts and labor tickets on typed statements when I was in 6th grade.

As a CPA, I’ve often been told I have almost psychic abilities in figuring out what clients have recorded incorrectly in their books. I can almost always find something that has been posted wrong and get it fixed. In my years of working with a variety of clients, the thing I love most is working with trusts and estates and the issues that pop up for taxpayers’ families after someone dies. I’ve helped several clients over the years in litigation matters either by preparing reports, testifying or being deposed. I deeply value the level of trust I have with my clients.

Q&A with Stephanie

What does above + beyond mean to you?
Going beyond the quick and easy answer to figuring out what the client truly needs. And being a strategic ally means that, instead of being an historian who records things after the fact, be the person the client calls before they act to help them plan how to do it.
What activity plays an important part in your life?
Playing with my dogs, traveling and acquiring furniture and decor for my arts and crafts home.
What makes you unique?
In my youth I was an avid dancer and performed with a troupe.
What is your favorite/least favorite word and why?
My favorite word is “ausgezeichnet” – it means excellent or outstanding in German. I studied German in high school and loved some of their ridiculously long words.
What is your family like and what are some things you like to do together?
I used to travel with my mother each year. We made it to 30+ states and 15+ countries via road trips, flights and cruises. We also took my niece and nephews on many vacations, and I have great memories of going places with them as children.
