How I help . . .

I’ve always enjoyed working with numbers, but getting to work with people is what truly makes my job rewarding. I approach each client as if they were family, getting to know them, taking the time to understand their unique situations and finding solutions that accurately fit their needs. I particularly like taking information, organizing it and putting it into a format that works for us while also being useful and clear for the client.

As a people person at heart, I’m naturally drawn to building relationships and to collaborating not only with clients but also with our team to ensure every client receives the best service possible. This line of work challenges you every day with something new and often pushes you out of your comfort zone, and while that can be uncomfortable at times it’s also where the most growth happens.

MEET SOPHIA
"I’m a glass-half-full kind of gal who believes the little things matter most – with family, work, or simply how I take in the world around me. Whether I’m appreciating simple moments at home or catching tiny details in the accounting world, I bring these mindsets into everything I do."

Q&A with Sophia

What does above+beyond mean to you?
It means doing more than what’s expected – taking initiative even when no one’s watching or it’s not required and delivering a level of care and effort that truly makes a difference.
Do you have any specialized skills outside of work?
I may not be the best cook, but I make up for it with detailed notes – a skill that helped me learn some of my favorite recipes from both of my Grandmas. Several dishes still need some work, but I’ve proudly mastered a few: cream pies (raisin and coconut) with homemade crust and meringue, English toffee, bierocks with homemade dough, grebbel and green bean dumpling soup!
What is your favorite food?
I love it all! If there's food, that typically means I am around a table with family or friends and there's nothing better than that.
What is your favorite music?
Country is my go-to, but I’ve always been more drawn to the melody and rhythm part of music. I think that’s what helps me enjoy and appreciate just about any genre.
What is/was your biggest life challenge?
My biggest life challenge, but also my biggest blessing, is raising our daughter. My husband and I are attempting to do it as well as our own parents, but they set the bar pretty high!
