How I help . . .

What is my superpower? Well, with the given name Clark (Kent, or most likely Griswold!), my superpower is an overwhelming passion to build great 401(k) plans for business owners and their employees. No “Jelly of the Month Club bonuses allowed!”

I develop and maintain a benefit package to recruit and retain their superstars that they rely upon to bring success to their passion. One particular manufacturing client had a retirement plan in place with 12% participation rate, high turnover of employees and a “clock-in, clock-out culture.” My team and I instituted a 401(k) plan and through one-on-one meetings with the team, gained an 85% participation rate, turnover dropped in half and the culture has become a “favorite place to work.”

MEET CLARK
"I am a proud husband to Pam (who has a passion as an educator that inspires me every day), father to six great kids and thankful to share my love for retirement plan guidance with our clients every day."

Q&A with Clark

What does above + beyond mean to you?
When I was 25, a wise mentor told me "more clients will get upset over a nickel, than the big things." She was SO RIGHT, and I try to go above and beyond and make sure the little things are in place, so that the "big things" then never happen!
What activity plays an important part in your life?
Traveling and spending time with my wife and kids brings the greatest joy, reinforces my faith in God and reminds me of purpose!
Do you have any specialized skills outside of work?
I am a trivia (especially geography and sports) nerd. I love trivia nights and contests!
What type of sports are you good at?
Volleyball (especially pool volleyball at an all-inclusive), golf, baseball and basketball.
What inspires you?
My schoolteacher wife Pam. She is a 4th grade teacher, and when we see former students who are now adults give her big hugs in Target, send her drinks and pick up her tab at the restaurant or bar, you know, she is that teacher that everyone loves and remembers.
