How I help . . .

I work primarily with healthcare professionals who have a strong desire to focus on their patients and take care of them. They didn’t go into the profession to deal with the business side of medicine. That’s where I step in.

I help them identify the parts of their business they need to know how to do, and the Adams Brown team handles the rest so they can do what they do best – patient care.

Q&A with Jennifer

What does above + beyond mean to you?

Fully understanding a client’s needs and why they are asking for something in particular and being able to anticipate their needs.

What are some of your favorite things?

In my free time, I love working on craft projects because these give me a creative outlet. Finding a local restaurant with a good patio and meeting friends to catch up or a firepit in the backyard is my ideal evening.

What are you most proud of and why?

Passing the CPA exam. It has a low passing rate compared to other professions and accomplishing that has opened so many doors for me and my family.

What do you enjoy most about your work at Adams Brown?

The people —our Adams Brown family and our clients. We have each other’s backs and are constantly building each other up to be our best selves, which includes not filling the typical accounting stereotypes.

What is your family like and what are some things you like to do together?

My husband and I have been married since 2009, and our daughter was born in 2014. Our family enjoys attending sporting events — whether it’s college, pro or my daughter’s youth sports. We love travelling, especially when we get to go to the beach. We try to barbeque with our friends every summer.

Little Known Facts

I grew up on a family farm but have very little ag accounting background.
I followed in my mom’s footsteps — she’s also a CPA. My brother followed in my dad’s as a farmer. My daughter says she’s going to be a farmer when she grows up.
I love a good mystery book and fireplace in the winter.
