David has been with Adams Brown since joining the firm as a Staff Accountant in 1997. Advancing in his career, he now serves as a Principal in Adams Brown’s Hays, Kansas office.
David offers tax and financial planning for individuals and business entities, along with business consultation and non-profit consultation. In addition to helping businesses and their owners minimize tax obligations, David aims to improve both profitability and cash flow, while assisting with planning throughout all phases of the business life cycle.
David cares about his clients and greatly values that he is surrounded by like-minded people with outstanding abilities and dedication. He was inspired to enter the accounting profession in order to have the opportunity to help people in a meaningful and tangible way.
David’s client-focused accomplishments include helping a client transition his business from a sole proprietorship to a multi-entity platform and, in another instance, assisting a client in the successful expansion of their business through the acquisition of another, similar business. Peers describe David as engaging, creative and hard working.
As the youngest of four, David grew up in the small town of Collyer, Kansas. Today, he calls Hays home, and lives there with his wife, Sonya, and daughter, Madelyn. He enjoys residing in a community where people take care of each other. In his spare time, David likes reading, gardening, hiking and learning new things.
