Julie Wondra, CPA, principal, has been named to the Kansas State Board of Accountancy (KSBOA) Board of Directors. Wondra, who is based in McPherson, KS, brings a wealth of experience to the board.

The KSBOA was initially created in 1915 with a three-member “Board of Examiners” as a part of the Business Administration Department of the University of Kansas. It is responsible for regulating the practice of public accountants and certified public accountants in Kansas. Some of its main functions include administering the CPA exam, licensing CPAs, enforcing professional standards and continuing education.

Wondra has been with Adams Brown for many years, and during this time she has become a leader in providing consulting services to clients in the manufacturing industry. She specializes in business tax, succession planning and other management advisory services. Wondra is also an active member of her community, serving on the McPherson United Way Allocations Committee, Central Kansas Manufacturing Network and K-State Alumni Association.

“I’m honored to serve on the board of directors and excited to leverage my industry background and experience to help protect consumers,” said Wondra. “This appointment provides an opportunity to give back to the profession and make a difference.”

Wondra holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from Kansas State University.
