Ben Wilson has been named the new managing principal and CEO of Adams Brown effective June 1, 2023. He succeeds Brian Staats who has led the nationally recognized accounting and business advisory firm for the past 10 years and will assume a new role in building the firm’s family office service model.

“It’s an honor to be selected as the managing principal of a firm I started my career with,” said Wilson. “I can say with all sincerity that I love where I work and have been blessed with the best teammates and clients anyone could hope for. I’m truly humbled by this opportunity and fully understand the significance of the responsibility I now hold toward our team and clients.”

In his new position, Wilson will continue focusing on enhancing the success of the firm’s team and clients while guiding the firm’s strategic direction and future growth. He joined the firm in 2009 and has held numerous leadership roles within the firm, most recently serving as vice president.

This transition is the result of a thoughtful succession planning process. Staats and Wilson have been working together to ensure a smooth transition. Focus has been on ensuring continued excellence in serving clients, leading more than 300 team members and maintaining the firm’s standing as an industry leader.

Under Staats’ leadership, the team more than doubled in size and tripled in revenue. He’ll use that same vision and drive in working with family offices, providing comprehensive financial and lifestyle management for business owners, executives and their families.

“Brian has been a visionary, positive leader who has steadily steered the firm toward opportunities. We are grateful for his contributions and look forward to his continued success in his new role,” said Wilson. “I’m excited about the path Adams Brown is on as we continue to deliver innovative solutions, exceed client expectations and drive growth to create opportunities for our team.”
