Jennifer D. Berning
Principal
”I strive to build strong relationships with my clients. I prioritize their needs and offer them effective solutions with personalized service.“

Jennifer joined the Adams Brown team in 2013 with nearly 20 years of prior accounting experience. She co-manages the firm’s Hutchinson office, is a member of Adams Brown’s Agriculture Industry team, and is responsible for overseeing a variety of tax engagements. In addition to reviewing tax returns for individuals and businesses, Jennifer consults on succession and tax planning for small businesses and farms.

Described by her colleagues as hardworking and committed to her clients, Jennifer believes her success is rooted in the work ethic she learned growing up on a family farm near Leoti, Kansas. When she chose accounting for her profession, this upbringing and experience on the family farm inspired her to work with farms as an accountant, as she understands the unique challenges faced by farmers and other agriculture businesses.

Jennifer currently lives in Hutchinson with her husband, Jerry, and their three children. When away from the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.
