Local CPA Firm’s Partner Named Experienced Leader of the Year
Michelle Ryan, CPA, CGMA, partner at Adams, Brown, Beran & Ball, Chtd. (ABBB) has been named the recipient of the Woman to Watch Experienced Leader award, given by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants (KSCPA).

This annual award recognizes one emerging leader and one experienced leader. The Woman to Watch Experienced Leader award recognizes those who have established their roles as leaders in their organizations by advancing to the highest levels of management or ownership and by mentoring those following in their footsteps. Ryan will be formally recognized at the KSCPA’s Member Value Day on November 15, 2017.
Ryan reviews business, individual, and estate tax returns, and consults on a variety of tax planning issues, including business consulting, new entity setup, retirement, and succession planning. In addition, she leads the firm’s CFO/Virtual Back Office Service Line and manages the firm’s Colby and Atwood office operations.
Ryan joined ABBB in 2008 after earning both a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Kansas State University. She is a member of the K-State Alumni Association, as well as the AICPA and KSCPA. Within the KSCPA, she is a graduate of the “20 up to 40” Leadership Program and is currently President of the Western Kansas Chapter. Michelle is the President of the Colby/Thomas County Chamber of Commerce and Treasurer of her church. In her free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing sports, reading, and being outside. Originally from Linn, Kansas, she currently resides in Colby with her husband, Josh, and their children, Leah and Parker.
